Restaurant | Yo Sushi, Bluewater

Yo Sushi. Bluewater 22nd Sept 2015

Rocked up for opening at 11.30 to find it not open yet as they were still setting up. Off for a 20 min wander… Minus 1 point.

Came back at ten to twelve and saw a couple of people already eating. Stood waiting for what felt like an eternity but was in fact a few minutes before someone appeared and basically told me I could sit anyway… As I sat down I saw 3 people standing in deep conversation… Minus 2 points!

My reason for this visit was to try the limited edition Furi Furi fries but alas no signage. Must be a need to know edition or they’ve been pulled already! To my disappointment it’s been stopped! Boo! Time to start a ‘bring it back’ campaign me thinks! Minus 3!

Faith somewhat restored by the waitress engaging me in conversation! That’s better! Like the good old days!

For once the Seafood Udon with rice wasn’t laden with chillies and as such was perfect with a little chilli kick!

Decided midway through that I’d just check Twitter to see if anyone was screaming to bring Furi Furi fries back only to discover they were still being served in other stores… Hmph… Minus 4!

Blossom Roll *new* definitely an odd combo and probably won’t have again! Semi spicy lumpy texture gloop on the top of 4 rolls. Not my type of flavours at all! But it’s always worth trying something new!

Winning dish, albeit, not your typical sushi dish is the Apple gyoza with salted caramel sauce! Whole heartedly recommend it for your next trip!

Creativity has always been an important aspect of my life and has been a natural instinct to progress within the creative industry. Throughout my education I have always been inspired by my emotional state of mind at that time. This is most evident through the study Emblematic Essence which taught me a great deal not only about myself but life as a whole. It was a monumental, positive thinking turning point and influenced me greatly, providing a solid basis from which I have grown and developed as an individual. To bullet point my multitude of skills so far - Digital account manager, Project manager, Social media “guru”, Digital image retoucher, Photographer, Tarot reader, Shoden qualified Jikiden Reiki practitioner, Make-up artist, Radio DJ
